This section explains about “Intermission (study leave)” and “Extra Course Registration”. Please refer to 03_Credit Transfer<\/a> for transfer credits earned during study abroad.

What is \u201cIntermission (Study leave)\u201d?<\/h2>\n

After you start your course, you may choose to participate in a summer school or to study abroad. In order to defer your studies halfway through, you are required to apply for intermission during the allotted time period. After returning from study leave, you may take the course by applying for resumption during the allotted time period. This is applicable for semester and full-year courses.<\/p>\n

Example 1
\nYou leave for study in the summer quarter of 2026 and return from the leave in the spring semester of 2027 and start the course again in the summer quarter of 2027.<\/h3>\n
