Scholarship Registration\uff08Japanese Equivalent Students\uff09 The main types of scholarships for Japanese Equivalent Students are Waseda University\u2019s own internal scholarships and external scholarships such as Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarships, local government scholarships, and private organization scholarships. There are two types of scholarships: loan-type scholarships that must be repaid after graduation and benefit-type scholarships that do not require repayment. As a general rule, students who wish to apply for scholarships are required to complete a \u201cScholarship Registration\u201d every year. Scholarship registration is a procedure that must be completed once a year (at the time of enrollment for the first year, and every April thereafter). Even if you have more than one nationality, if you have Japanese nationality you cannot apply for scholarships for international students. Government-sponsored students and students whose tuition is covered by foreign governments or scholarship organizations are not eligible to apply.
