What is Safe Exam Browser?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Safe Exam Browser (hereinafter referred to as \u201cSEB\u201d) is a dedicated web browser designed to restrict user operations during online examinations.<\/li>\n<li>In some cases, using SEB is mandatory when taking quizzes on Waseda Moodle. Please make sure to install SEB before taking the quiz.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u203bThis page provides general information about taking quizzes on Waseda Moodle using SEB. Please note that if your teacher gives different instructions, you should follow those instead.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>2. Preparation Before the Exam<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are instructed to use SEB, please complete the installation before the exam.<\/li>\n<li>Refer to the following links for installation instructions:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wnpspt.waseda.jp\/student_en\/wsdmoodle\/2025\/08\/06\/how-to-install-safe-exam-browser-windows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Windows<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/wnpspt.waseda.jp\/student_en\/wsdmoodle\/2025\/08\/06\/how-to-install-safe-exam-browser-macos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">macOS<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>3. Exam Flow (Waseda Moodle)<\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Before the Exam<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Click \u201cLaunch Safe Exam Browser\u201d from the quiz screen. Troubleshooting When SEB Does Not Launch<\/h2>\n<p>Modify the SEB file settings as described below, then try launching it again from Waseda Moodle.<br \/>\nRight-click on SafeExamBrowser.exe, select &#8220;Properties&#8221;, go to the &#8220;Compatibility&#8221; tab, check &#8220;Run this program as an administrator&#8221;, and click &#8220;Apply&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-795\" src=\"https:\/\/wnpspt.waseda.jp\/student\/wsdmoodle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/09\/sebts1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"543\" \/><br \/>\n\u203b Depending on your operating system version or device, SEB may not launch properly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
