By using the attendance card, the enrolled students will be able to register their own attendance by themselves. For taking attendance with the attendance card, the lecturer first distributes attendance cards and then informs the keyword to the students in the classroom. Then, the students register their attendance on Course N@vi with the attendance card and Keyword given in the classroom.<\/p>\n

  1. In advance, follow the procedures described in the \u201cDisplaying the Attendance link\u201d section of \u201c05-01-03. Using attendance management\u201d<\/a> and create lecture folders where the attendance management feature is enabled in order to display the \u201cAttendance\u201d link.

  4. \u201cAttendance Card Administration\u201d page will appear on the screen. Choose \u201cCreate Attendance Cards\u201d and click \u201cNext\u201d.

  5. \u201cCreate Attendance Cards\u201d page will appear on the screen. Confirm \u201cCourse\u201d and \u201cLecture Name\u201d and\u00a0enter the “Keyword” which you will announce to the students in the classroom. Set the \u201cAttendance Registration Period\u201d and\u00a0click \u201cApply\u201d.

  6. The confirmation page will appear. Check the data you entered and click \u201cRegister\u201d.

    Please print out all the sheets of the attendance cards. Making a copy of attendance cards and distribute it will result in the failure of attendance registration since duplicate attendance code cannot be accepted by the system.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/li>\n
  7. Attendance Card will appear on the screen. Please print out the cards using \u201cprint\u201d function of the web browser.

    \nAttendance cards will be printed out.\u00a0 Please detach each card and distribute them in the class. The attendance cards are not in the particular order and therefore you can distribute any card to any student.<\/p>\n

    Checking the attendance status<\/h3>\n

    The enrolled students will register their attendance with the distributed attendance card. For more information on the attendance registration of the students, please refer to the Course N@vi manual for the students.<\/p>\n

    1. Click \u201cAttendance\u201d of the lecture of which you would like to check the attendance status.

    2. You can confirm the status of each student\u2018s attendance. As for the students who have registered their attendance, the status will be shown as \u201cPresent\u201d, and their attendance code and the registration date and time will be shown. As for the students who have not yet registered, the status will be shown as \u201cNot Registered\u201d.

      On the attendance card administration page, besides\u00a0creating the attendance cards, you can also \u201cReprint Attendance Cards\u201d, \u201cEdit Attendance Cards (You can update the registration period or keyword)\u201d, \u201cPrint Additional Attendance Cards\u201d and \u201cSearch Attendance Code\u201d<\/p>\n
