These are the basic terms in Moodle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

1<\/td>\nContent<\/td>\nGeneric term for configurable features by teacher in charge (e.g., forum, assignment, quiz, questionnaire).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2<\/td>\nHome<\/td>\nThe first page that appears when you log in, containing Information and System Maintenance.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
3<\/td>\nDashboard<\/td>\nIt displays \u201cstarred courses\u201d and \u201cevents for the next 7 days.\u201d<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
4<\/td>\nMy courses<\/td>\nFor faculty members, the list of courses they are in charge of is displayed, and for students, the list of courses they are enrolled in is displayed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
5<\/td>\nCourse<\/td>\nSubject<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
6<\/td>\nCourse top(Course)<\/td>\nPage displayed when you click a course name on the dashboard. On course top, content set by teacher is displayed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
7<\/td>\nRoles<\/td>\nUser attribute. Operable range differs depending on the role. Roles include subject teacher, lecturer, TA, student, guest, and so on.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
8<\/td>\nSection<\/td>\nUnit to divide each lecture.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
9<\/td>\nResource<\/td>\nGeneric term for files and folders provided by teacher as materials. Refer to \u3010Appended table\u3011<\/a> below for resource used on Waseda Moodle.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
10<\/td>\nActivity<\/td>\nGeneric term for communication functions within section between subject teacher and student, or among students. This includes attendance, forum, and quiz.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
11<\/td>\nGrades<\/td>\nEvaluation result of quiz and\/or assignment based on score or rank. A grade table summarizing each grade can be created.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
12<\/td>\nPermission<\/td>\nSettings to control access by specific roles (subject teacher, student, etc.) to certain\u00a0functions on Waseda Moodle (posting to forum, for example). There are four types of setting: \u201cNot set,\u201d \u201cAllow,\u201d \u201cPrevent,\u201d and \u201cProhibit.\u201d<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
