Overview
\n\u201cForum\u201d is a discussion function (BBS) used between teachers and all students. You can change the sharing range, such as sharing it to all teachers and students in the course or sharing it as a group. In addition, you can also set for the email notifications of posted content.<\/h3>\n

The following two steps are required to create \u201cForum.\u201d

\n\uff12\uff0eAdd a discussion topic<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

The following is a simple procedure for creating \u201cForum.\u201d<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0Start course editing mode.\n

  2. Click [Add an activity or resource] on section.

  3. Choose [20 Forum] and click [Add].

  4. Enter \u201cForum name\u201d and \u201cDescription.\u201d
    \n    \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. \u00a0Choose a forum type.
    \n    \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  6. Set the subscription mode.\n

    1. Open the forum you created.

    2. Click [Add a new discussion].

    3. Enter \u201cSubject,\u201d and enter discussion details in \u201cMessage.\u201d
      \n      \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
    4. Click on [Post to forum].
      \n      \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Setting Items for \u201cForum\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
      Name<\/th>\nForum<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
      Setting items<\/th>\nForum name<\/th>\nName of the discussion<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
      Description<\/th>\nDescription of the forum. If \u201cDisplay description on course page\u201d is enabled, it will be shown to students.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
      Forum type<\/th>\n\n
      There are five types of forum:<\/div>\n
      memo<\/div>\n
      Although there are five types of forum, it is recommended to use \u201cStandard forum for general use\u201d or \u201cA single simple discussion.\u201d<\/div>\n
      \u2022 Standard forum for general use<\/div>\n
      Anyone can create a new discussion topic at any time and each person can reply to the topic.<\/div>\n
      \u2022 A single simple discussion<\/div>\n
      Discuss one topic provided by the teacher (Not able to create more than one topic).<\/div>\n
      \u2022 Q&A Forum<\/div>\n
      This is a type of forum where students answer topics created by the teacher \u00a0(for example, assignments or questions). Students will not be able to see what other students have posted until they post.<\/div>\n
      \u2022 Standard forum displayed in blog-like format<\/div>\n
      The display method is different, but the function is the same as \u201cStandard forum for general use\u201d<\/div>\n
      \u2022 Each person posts one discussion.<\/div>\n
      The number of topics that one student can create is limited to one. Anyone can reply to any topic.<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

      Add discussion topics to the forum.<\/div>\n
      The additional menu differs depending on the forum type as shown below.<\/div>\n
      \u2022 Standard forum for general use:<\/div>\n

      \u2022 One simple topic discussion:<\/div>\n
      In this forum type, the forum itself is a discussion topic, and there is no discussion addition menu.<\/div>\n
      \u2022 Q\uff06A Forum:<\/div>\n
      \u201cAdd a new question\u201d<\/div>\n
      \u2022 Standard forum displayed in blog format:<\/div>\n
      \u201cAdd a new topic\u201d<\/div>\n
