Overview of Question Bank Improvements
The question bank has been significantly improved with this upgrade. The four main enhancements are as follows.

| Reusing Questions Across Courses |
Questions had to be exported from one course and imported into another in order to reuse them. | Using “Switch Bank”, you can select another course you teach and directly access and add questions from its question bank. |

Questions created for use in a specific quiz were automatically stored in the course-wide shared question bank, making the question list cluttered and harder to manage. | Questions created within a quiz are now stored in a quiz-specific area (activity-level) and are completely separated from the course-wide shared question bank. |
| When importing a quiz, questions that were not actually used in the quiz were also copied, resulting in unnecessary data growth. | When only the quiz is imported, the question data itself is not copied. Instead, the quiz maintains a link (reference) to the shared question bank in the original course. This prevents unused questions from being copied into the new course and helps keep course storage clean. | |
| Finding Questions More Easily |
The only way to find questions was to browse through the category hierarchy, making it difficult to locate specific past questions as the number of questions grew. | Advanced search filters have been added, allowing you to combine multiple criteria such as “Time Modified”, “Created by”, and “Type”. This makes it much easier to quickly find the questions you need. |
