The Student Affairs Section provides a variety of services to help make your student life healthier and more fulfilling. These services do not require any prior application or special application, and will be announced through MyWaseda and the web magazine “Waseda Weekly”, so please check regularly to make sure you do not miss any opportunities.

100 Yen breakfast Campaign

The “100-Yen Breakfast Campaign” is a limited-time offer of a nutritionally balanced menu on campus during the early morning hours, with the aim of raising interest in healthy eating habits by having a good breakfast. University students tend to have disordered lifestyles and eating habits. In order to make the most of your busy days, the “100 Yen Breakfast Campaign” is a good opportunity to think about your own health management.

  • Period: Spring semester (announced on MyWaseda and the Student Affairs Section website)
  • Location: Okuma Garden House, Toyama Cafeteria, Science and Engineering Cafeteria, Tokorozawa Co-op Cafeteria
  • Fee: 100 yen (student ID required)
  • Targets: Regular students of undergraduate/graduate students of Waseda University (*Commissioned students, non-degree students, students of the Center for Japanese Language, exchange students, and special foreign trainees are not members.)

Dental Checkup

In order to maintain and improve your health and prevent tooth decay, free Dental Checkup by dentists are held on campus. There is no need to apply in advance, just come directly to the venue on the day. The results will be given to you on the spot.
*The Dental Checkup are conducted in Japanese because dentists and stuff members does not speak enough English.

  • Contents of examination: Tooth decay, periodontal disease, tartar and pigmentation, examination of oral cleanliness, brushing instruction

Waseda Weekly

Waseda Weekly, a public magazine for students first published in 1966, was renewed as a web magazine in April 2016 to provide useful information for Waseda University students (updated daily during class periods). The magazine features “Special Issue,” which introduces interviews with famous people, and “Focus,” which provides useful information in student life. Classes recommended by students are introduced in the “Interesting Lectures and Seminar“, and “People,” an interview with a student who is making remarkable achievements. In addition, the “University Official Circle Guide” allows you to search for circles of interest from about 500 official circles. Please check it out with your smartphone or PC.
