Campus lockout period during Entrance Examination

During the period from Thursday, February 4, 2021 to Wednesday, February 24, 2021, in order to maintain a quiet environment for taking the entrance examinations, no one other than examinees, proctors, and faculty members will be allowed on the campus. Please follow the instructions below for the administrative procedure during this period.

Note: If the level of the University’s guidelines for the restriction of activities changes from the current situation, the following information may change (including closing of offices due to restricted access).

2. Office operations during the campus lockout period

During the campus lockout period, no face-to-face administrative services will be provided at the School/Graduate School Office, Student Reading Room, and related facilities on each campus.
Therefore, please follow the STEP below in order to receive the necessary procedures.

STEP 1 :【Before Campus Lockout Period】Please plan to complete the necessary procedures prior to the campus lockout period.
STEP 2 :【During Campus Lockout Period】First, please use Support Anywhere to gather the information you need.
STEP 3 :【During Campus Lockout Period】If you need to complete the procedures in person during the lockout period, please refer to the following “Administrative Procedures at the Offices of the Schools and Graduate Schools during the Lockout Period” to confirm where the procedures can be completed.

Some administrative work will be done at the “Temporary Office” from February 11 (Thursday) to 22 (Monday), 2021.
The office of the Faculty of Letters, Arts and Sciences will be open during all other times.

A temporary counter will be open at the main gate of Nishi-Waseda Campus from Monday, February 15 to Friday, February 19, and Monday, February 22, 2021. During the other days, the administrative office at the Faculty of Science and Engineering will be open.

※Please try to avoid visiting the temporary office on the days of the entrance examinations of your school, as we will be unable to handle your work. Please check here for the entrance examination schedule of each faculty(Japanese only).

3. Temporary office (Interim Advisory Center: Rinji Jimusho)

During the lockout period on Waseda Campus, a temporary office, the Interim Advisory Center (Rinji Jimusho), will be opened at the Okuma Garden Hall (1st floor, Building No. 25, Okuma Garden House). If you need to complete a procedure in person during the lockout period on Waseda Campus, please check the following information and make an appointment before your visit.

●The temporary office will be operated by the Waseda Portal Office. Since the temporary office is limited to some services, please try to complete any procedures before the lockout period.

●Please try to avoid visiting the temporary office on the days of the entrance examinations of your school, as the service at the temporary office will be even more limited. Please check here for the entrance examination schedule of each faculty(Japanese only).
●The temporary office will only handle the administrative work of some schools and graduate schools. Please refer to the above “Administrative Procedures at the Offices of the Schools and Graduate Schools during the Lockout Period”.

※Closed on Sundays and national holidays (However, IT consultation is not available on Saturdays)

4. Notes on visiting the temporary office and entering the campus

  • When entering the campus, please make sure to wear a mask or take other infection control measures while on campus, including travel from your home. If you do not wear a mask, we may not be able to respond to your request.
  • If any of the following applies to you, please refrain from coming to the campus and contact the office of your school or graduate school by e-mail or other means.
    -If you have symptoms such as fever or cough.
    – If you are not feeling well.
    – If you have an underlying disease or chronic illness that may lead to serious illness if infected.
    – If you have just returned from abroad within 2 weeks.
  • Please do not crowd the temporary office or any other places on campus.
