How to confirm that a student has checked a notification or email

You can set the activity completion in the announcement to keep track of the student’s readings, and check the student’s completion status from the course report.

Set the read condition on activity completion to “Require viewing”.
The completion status of the course can be viewed in the course report, Activity Completion.
