04_Graduation (Completion) Assessment
Each school/graduate school notifies students who are in the final year of their standard years of study (4th year and above in the case of undergraduate students), as specified in the university’s school regulation, of the screening results. The date of announcement differs among each school/graduate school, so the following is an introduction to the basic system and concept.

Expected Graduation (Completion) Assessment
For those who are in the final year of their standard years of study (4th year and above in the case of undergraduate students), in principle, each school/graduate school assesses your eligibility for expected graduation (completion) based on the result of the course registration six months or one year prior, and notifies the assessment result by the “Grade report” screen on MyWASEDA.
Types of Assessment Results
The type of assessment results are as follows. If your assessment result differs from your own understanding, please contact the office of your school/graduate school immediately.
1) Expected Graduation (Completion) (March)
-You are expected to graduate (complete) in the nearest March.
-You can issue the certificate of expected graduation (completion).
2) Impossible Status for Graduation (Completion) (March)
-You are not expected to graduate (complete) in the nearest March.
-You cannot issue the certificate of expected graduation (completion).
3) Expected Graduation (Completion) (September)
-You are expected to graduate (complete) in the nearest September.
-You can issue the certificate of expected graduation (completion).
4) Impossible Status for Graduation (Completion) (September)
-You are not expected to graduate (complete) in the nearest September.
-You cannot issue the certificate of expected graduation (completion).

- *The assessment criteria and period differ among each school/graduate school.
*The assessment period may differ depending on the month of enrollment (April or September) or the month of graduation (completion) (March or September).
*Students who plan to graduate under the Early Graduation (Completion) System may be assessed during a different period.
Issuance of Certificate of Expected Graduation (Completion)
If your assessment result is either 1) Expected Graduation (Completion) (March) or 3) Expected Graduation (Completion) (September), you can issue the certificate of expected graduation (completion) from June 1 (the certificate will be based on your spring semester’s course registration result) or November 10 (the certificate will be based on your fall semester’s course registration result). - Attention
- *There are periods when you temporarily are unable to issue the certificate of expected graduation, such as when we are processing assessment results.
*If June 1 or November 10 is a university holiday, you can issue the certificate on the next class day.
Graduation (Completion) Assessment
For those who are in the final year of their standard years of study (4th year and above in the case of undergraduate students), the assessment will be taken placed at the time of grade announcement and its result will be notified to the students.
Type of Assessment Results
The type of assessment results are as follows. If your assessment result differs from your own understanding, please contact the office of your school/graduate school immediately.
5) Graduation (Completion) (March)
-You are eligible to graduate (complete) in the nearest March.
-You can issue the certificate of graduation (completion) from March 15.
6) Impossible to Graduate (Completion) (March)
-You are not eligible to graduate (complete) in the nearest March.
-You cannot issue the certificate of graduation (completion).
7) Graduation (Completion) (September)
-You are eligible to graduate (complete) in the nearest September.
-You can issue the certificate of graduation (completion) from September 15.
8) Impossible to Graduate (Completion) (September)
-You are not eligible to graduate (complete) in the nearest September.
-You cannot issue the certificate of graduation (completion).
9) Withholding Graduation (Completion)/Graduation (Completion) Reservation (March/September)
-You have fulfilled the degree requirements, however, has not yet paid the tuition fees.
-You cannot issue the certification of graduation (completion) until you pay the tuition fees.
-There is a payment due date when you may be removed from the school register due to non-payment of tuition fees so please be careful.
If we can confirm that you have paid the tuition fees before the due date, your assessment result will be changed from Withholding Graduation (Completion)/Graduation (Completion) Reservation to Graduation (March/September).

- *You can issue the certificate of graduation (completion) from the 15th day of the month in which your graduation (completion) is determined (March 15 or September 15).
