About GPAs
A corresponding value known as a grade point (4 points for an A+, 3 points for an A, 2 points for a B, 1 point for a C, and 0 points for a non-passing grade) is given in accordance with the grade for each course.
To calculate your GPA (grade point average), add the product of the credits and the grade point, and divide this by the total number of credits registered.
Who?
Students enrolled in 2010 or later.
Which Courses?
Courses that you registered for as courses applicable to being counted towards degree completion (excluding courses graded “N”, “P” and “Q”).
Calculation formula
- *The total number of registered credits includes credits for courses that you did not pass.
- *GPAs are shown to the second decimal place (rounded off to two decimal places).
- *If you need an explanation of the GPA system at Waseda University for job hunting or application for a graduate school, please use the following documents.
