The timing of similarity check is controlled by the setting of “Report generation speed.”

• Generate reports immediately (students cannot resubmit)
  ->the check will be done at the time of submission without waiting for the due date.
• Generate reports immediately (students can resubmit until due date): After 3 resubmissions, reports generate after 24 hours
  ->The report will be created without waiting for the usual time by submitting a total of four submissions, including the first submission and three resubmissions made by the student, but from the fifth submission onwards, A report will be generated after 24 hours.
• Generate reports on due date (students can resubmit until due date)
  ->The check will be done on the submission deadline date.

Please note the check result differs depending on the setting.

１．Generate reports immediately
・If Student B submits same report after the submission by Student A, Student A will receive a 0% similarity result and Student B will receive a 100% result.

You can see the check result quickly with “Generate report immediately.” However, since the inter-student check is performed in the order of submission, if the same report is submitted, only the student submitted later will be resulted as 100%.

２．Generate reports on due date

If Student B submits exactly same report as A’s report before Student A’s report is checked with Turnitin, the similarity result for both Student A and B will be 100%.

With “Generate reports on due date,” you cannot confirm the check result until the due date. However, regardless of the order of submission, the inter-student check will be performed between reports submitted by the due date, so if reports of the same content are submitted, the check result will be 100% for both students.
